I went to Littleton this past weekend to spend some time with my wonderful family. Unfortunately, I had to miss the last race in the
race series that I was co-director for (eek), but Scott stepped up to the plate (even with a sore Achilles), and the race was a huge success.
Most of my trip was spent playing games, spending time with family, and eating food...

but I also had a chance to get outside and enjoy the place where I did my first run back in July 2009.

The pond that I ran my first lap around |
Of course, the pond was different that summer, and as I ran around it, I couldn't help but reflect on the changes that I have experienced in the past year and a half...the ways that I am different, too. Since this is a public blog, I won't go into all the details on this one, but I will say that running has been a constant in my life since 2009, and I am so glad that it has. Whether I am training for a race or just getting outside and breathing in fresh air and enjoying the sights and sounds and life around me, I am thankful for the sport.
