(These are pictures of the Butte that I took off of the web.)
I parked a couple of miles from the top and made my way to the summit. I was in awe of the beauty below me; I could see all of the beautiful browns and greens of the Palouse in Spring, and I felt thankful for the sun and the grass and the experience of running. After chillin' at the top for a bit (and taking a picture or two), I ran the whole way back to the car.
Very cool.
ReplyDeleteSteptoe Butte is a gem.
I wish I could run with you and enjoy the beauty from the top as well. But I'm too full of side aches and too short of breath--I'm afraid I would have to walk. Mom
ReplyDeleteHow long is the run (on the trail)? Is it possible to run straight up (not following the trail) and straight back down?
